John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. NIV
Jesus, help me understand the kind of love that it took for the Father to send you to die for me. The verse says that whoever believes in you will not perish, but HAS eternal life. That sounds like a believer has eternal life now and not just in heaven. Show or tell me something so I may better understand this.
What Jesus said to me (Patty):
There was only one way to allow Me to have a relationship with you and all the others who freely chose Me. I AM holy and I AM just. I needed perfection to pay the price for your sins. Only My Son could accomplish that for you. It was the hardest thing We (the Trinity) needed to do for this relationship to be possible. It gives me the greatest joy that you accepted that gift! I sent Jesus because I wanted I wanted you to come near Me. He was willing to do it because you are worth it!
Thank you, Lord!
Thank you for accepting this gift and believing in Me. The Holy Spirit in your heart allows you to share My nature, My character, My power, and My promises so you can live a life of victory and fruitfulness. This is what eternal life is now.
Seek Me daily. Spend time with Me. Jesus paid a high price for this privilege. Please don’t take it for granted! You can live in the realm of the miraculous every day if you embrace this truth. You can bless many and lead many more to Me so they can have eternal life too! Take advantage of your eternal life privileges today and every day! I love you more than you can even fathom.

I hear him say to me. “My very essence is love, that’s what I am. Everything I do is filtered through love.The sacrifice of my son was the biggest act of love. To lay down your life for another is also what I expect from my followers to see them inherit the kingdom. It’s all about the souls. Love them into the kingdom for my sake. I have much love to give. As I have loved you love them, as I have forgiven you forgive. Bring them to me, I wait for them to become mine as you are my beloved.
Ok Lord what about us having eternity now on earth as well as in heaven?
When you became born again your spirit became alive with my Spirit which lives in eternity past present and future. Spiritual life is eternal life. You will never die. You are now a spirit in a human body. An eternal spirit in flesh. Therefore, you have eternal life now.
Wow, I’ve often thought about this but now it’s plain and clear to me.
What Jesus said to Char A:
The Father and I are One, but for a short time, I became His Son so that He could show the world how deeply and committed He is to them. By the power of the Holy Spirit, the Father planted His seed in Mary, my earthly mother. I am still referred to as His Son, though I am fully God because it represents the ultimate sacrifice a father can make to say, “I love you.” The Father now has many sons and daughters through adoption made possible by the sacrifice of His One and Only-begotten Son.
Jesus, this is such a mystery and so difficult to comprehend. Thank you for putting it in a way I could understand. The second part of this verse speaks to eternal life. Show me or tell me what it means to have eternal life.
Eternal life begins with the Father, Jehovah, Self-existent One. Time is non-existent in the spirit realm; therefore, it is eternal. His plan was always to live with His creation from the beginning.
We created you in Our image and those of you who believe in Me and the God (the Father) who sent Me will have eternal life with Us. This means that the moment you accept Me your spirit and the Holy Spirit are tethered together and you become immediately eternal because we are eternal. Though your body will age and decay your spirit stays forever young. Time no longer exists for your spirit. Your physical body is subject to time and the elements, but your spirit is already living in eternity.
Jesus, I can’t comprehend the kind of love You and the Father have for us knowing from the beginning that we would betray You. Yet You still had a plan to save us for eternity. Why?
Remember the Father and I are One. I love you because I am Love. You cannot comprehend this because you only know worldly love. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Jesus, I want to love like You love. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for helping me better understand John 3:16.
